On September 13, McNally Robinson (1120 Grant Avenue) will be hosting “On the Same Page: Reading from Shortlisted Works” at 7pm. This will involve readings from: A Thousand Farewells, by Nahlah Ayed; Queen of Hearts, by Martha Brooks; Manitowapow: Aboriginal Writings from the Land of Water, edited by Warren Cariou & Niigaanwewidam Sinclair; and A Large Harmonium, by Sue Sorensen. Also, if you happen to be heading out to Neepawa on September 28, the Manitoba Writers' Guild will be presenting “An Evening at Margaret Laurence Home” (525 1st Ave, Neepawa) at 7pm. The evening will include readings by Laurie Block of Brandon, and Chris Rutkowski and Dora Dueck of Winnipeg, and will also feature a reading from Margaret Laurence’s works by a local resident.
