Upcoming Workshops and Info Sessions

There are several upcoming worshops and information sessions which will be useful for English students. The first is the Student Marker Orientation this Wednesday, which will provide information on the application process and offer helpful tips for the job itself.

Working as a marker is a great way to  become involved in the English department, make connections with professors and improve your own essay-writing skills. There are also several workshops coming up which will be of interest to those students who plan to apply for Graduate Studies in the next few years.

Here is a list of all upcoming workshops and info sessions:

If you have questions about any of these workshops or would like to find out more about becoming a Student Marker, contact the English Honours Chair, Professor Andrew Burke at a.burke@uwinnipeg.ca

Hello everyone, welcome to ELSA!

This site is created by English students, for English students. Here we will post information about up-coming lectures, guest speakers, exhibits and seminars that take place within the community. It will also act as message board where we will inform students of upcoming social events that ELSA has planned.

As a new addition to the selec
tion of UW student groups, one of our main goals for the upcoming term is to let students know that we exist!
Help us spread the word by inviting fellow English students to like our Facebook page and check in with us here regularly for posts on fun upcoming social and academic events.

Also, check out our page, "Research Resources" (located on the right side of your screen), for a list of both general and specialized databases and websites which have been compiled to aid in your research endeavours!
